Enough gardening for me.

I love a well kept garden. Beautiful lawns and stunning flowers.
Alas, I was born with a black thumb instead of a green one, and the only things that grow well for me are weeds.

Now that my has finished Uni and has a bit more free time, he decided to poison the weeds I had been nurturing in the bricks that make up our patio.

They had been left long enough to die a slow death, so he started to pull them out today. He was only able to spend an hour or so on the task, as he had to pop out.
I said I would continue the job for a while.

After removing some weeds and some unwanted grass, I discovered two rose bushes in pots that had been long lost to this world.
Seeing how roses are my favorite flower, and that they had managed somehow to survive my lack of TLC, I thought I would surprise them and give them a drink of rainwater that had filled my watering can.

In no time at all, I saw what I thought might have made it's home in the watering can....a Red Back Spider, and rather a large one at that.
I was feeling brave because I was wearing gardening gloves (they can sometimes be fatal, or at least give a nasty bite, and would probably require a trip to the hospital),so continued watering my darling roses.
As soon as the watering can was empty, I gently put it down and rushed to get the insect spray, emptying a lot of the can onto the spider. When it tried to get onto the handle, I hit it with the broom, rendering it quite dead.
I left it dangling in it's web to show my how brave I had been, and how big it was.

My back was starting to ache from bending down for so long, I thought I would attack some of the ivy growing on the fence.
I cut some of it back and was moving to attack a rather long piece, but didn't look where I was going first, and yes....walked straight into a spiders web. Next thing I know, there is a black eight legged thing hanging down in front of my face.
Think this was only a harmless garden spider, but those of you that read my blog about the Huntsman spider, you will know I hate SPIDERS.
So I started the famous spider dance, and decided that was enough gardening for one day.

Yes, I have hung up my gardening gloves for the day, remembering to turn the top over a few times and put a peg on it, so as no spider will be able to crawl inside for a nasty surprise next time the gloves are worn.

I have just got home from 3 hours of music bliss.

I've not been to a big name concert in more years that I can remember, so have been looking forward for months since booking tickets.

Myself and two friends went to see The Eagles.

What a nice surprise they turned out to be.

As well as singing all of the old favorites (I only had to wait for the 3rd song to hear my all time favorite), they have gone quite Rock. Very different to their old stuff.

The guitar playing was quite spectacular.

There was no support band. Other than a 20min. break, it was all Eagles.

If anything, their voices have gotten better over the years.

As I love dancing, I found it very hard to stay seated.

The good thing was, because of their ages (and ours), there were no screaming teenagers.
There were a few younger ones there....without their parents.

A great night was had by all.

There was a number next to my inbox this morning, so I opened it up wondering if it would be from someone interesting.

Here is what it said.....

'as a friend i would love to send you a erotic email with pics, you can even ring me if you would like erotic pleasure over the phone. i hope you accept my invite, you will enjoy.'

Since when did I become his friend? Never heard of him before.
Why would I love to see photos of his dick? I have been sent so many, I could open up my own penile gallery.

As for erotic pleasure over the phone, cyber sex is about as boring as watching paint dry.
Keep puffing and panting, I just have to pop to the shops. Back in half an hour.
Might be different if you were in a relationship, then it could be erotic, but from a stranger...I don't think so.

How the hell would he know what I would enjoy?
He doesn't know me.

I would prefer to get emails from 'bots,' at least they are funny.

A friend posts his 'bot' emails, which always make me laugh. His comments are sometimes funnier than the emails he gets.

I have sent my polite no thank you reply.
Wonder if he will take it like a man, or will I get a rude childish reply?

Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates.

'In honor of this holy season' Saint Peter said, 'You must each possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven.'

The first man fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a lighter. He flicked it on. 'It represents a candle', he said.

'You may pass through the pearly gates' Saint Peter said.

The second man reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of keys. He shook them and said, 'They're bells.'

Saint Peter said 'You may pass through the pearly gates'.

The third man started searching desperately through his pockets and finally pulled out a pair of women's panties.

St. Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked, 'And just what do those symbolize?'

The man replied, 'These are Carols.'

I didn't say it was going to be a good one.

I'm not usually one to do things on the spur of the moment. Being a Libran, it usually takes me a while to make up my mind about things.

Sometimes I drive myself crazy, never mind driving others crazy.

On Thursday, a friend from work mentioned that a friend of hers (who I've met once before), was heading up to where my lives, as he is from there.

He was leaving after work Friday and coming home on Monday.

Before I knew it, I had her on the phone asking if I could hitch a ride up with him.

He didn't mind at all, so I found someone to cover my shift on Saturday.

I had two wonderful full days with her.

Now I only have to wait a couple of weeks, and she will be here for Christmas.

Do you have feelings of inadequacy?
Do you suffer from shyness?
Do you sometimes wish you were more assertive?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, ask your doctor or
pharmacist about Cabernet Sauvignon.

Cabernet Sauvignon is the safe, natural way to feel better and more confident about yourself and your actions. It can help ease you out of your shyness and let you tell the world that you're ready and willing to do just about anything.

You will notice the benefits of Cabernet Sauvignon almost immediately and, with a regimen of regular doses, you can overcome any obstacles that prevent you from living the life you want to live. Shyness and awkwardness will be a thing of the past and you will discover many talents you never knew you had.

Stop hiding and start living.

Cabernet Sauvignon may not be right for everyone. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not use it. However, women who wouldn't mind nursing or becoming pregnant are encouraged to try it.

Side effects may include: dizziness, nausea, vomiting, incarceration, loss of motor control, loss of clothing, loss of money, loss of virginity, delusions of grandeur, table dancing, headache, dehydration, dry mouth, and a desire to sing Karaoke and play all-night rounds of Strip Poker, Truth Or Dare, and Naked Twister.

WARNINGS:
* The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may make you think you are
whispering when you are not.
* The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may cause you to tell your
friends over and over again that you love them.
* The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may cause you to think you can sing.
* The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may make you think you can
converse enthusiastically with members of the opposite sex without
spitting.
* The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may create the illusion that you are tougher, smarter, faster and better looking than most people.

Thank goodness I drink white wine.

There once lived a really old codger,
Who loved to play with his Roger.

He fiddled by day, he fiddled by night,
Playing with his dick, held such delight.

He wanted something different, so went to his shed,
While his wife was upstairs asleep in their bed.

He looked at his tools wondering which one to pick,
What would be best to stimulate his dick?

Should he use a clamp, or maybe a vice,
Maybe something electrical could be very nice.

He plugged the car charger into the socket,
Forgetting the metal keys in his shirt pocket.

Carefully he put both clamps on his member,
Turned on the power, that's the last he could remember.

He awoke with his hair standing on end,
His dick now had an unusual bend.

He dragged himself up off the floor,
Vowing to play with his dick no more.

Last Friday there was a fund raiser at my local for the 's hospital.

It was a great night. My favorite band was playing, raffle tickets and one dollar from every cocktail sold was donated.

A good night was had by all.

After the pub closed, a few friends came back to my place, as we wern't ready to call it a night.

The next morning, my went to the dresser to get some money he had left there as he hadn't been able to get to the bank to bank it, and some of it was missing.

I feel as it was one of my 'friends' that took it, I should replace the money. I can't afford to replace all of it.

I feel sick knowing that it was a 'friend' that took the money.

I don't know what to do about it, other than make sure that money is never left around ever again.

I don't want to say anything to any of them, as the innocent ones will feel hurt that I don't trust them.

Have any of you had this happen to you. How did you deal with it?

OMG. What a week end I have had.

A very close friend of mine has decided to leave a loveless marriage of 26 years.

She came to my place yesterday and poured her heart out. I have known for years that she has been very unhappy. She tried to leave him 3 years ago, but stayed for her two girls, but now they are older, one has left home and the other has moved away for almost a year for work, she couldn't stay in the marriage any longer.

I sat next to her on the lounge as she rang the eldest first to break the news. This was fairly close to her Father, so it came as quite a shock.
There was the 3 of us crying.

Next she rang her other , who is not as close to her Father. This was a much easier call.

Today, I drove her to her house where she had to tell her husband it was over.
Although I have never liked this man (and found out today he has never liked me), I still felt his pain.

Of cause I was to blame as so all her other friends.

She packed some clothes, and we came back here.

I have no idea how long she will be staying. She will stay for how ever long it takes to sort out her life.

It was only 5 years ago that it was me that was in her shoes.
I was lucky that a friend had a house she could rent to me, so at least I was able to get settled quite quickly with my two .

Later today, we went to visit a friend in hospital who has had a hip replacement.

So here I am having a well earned Scotch and coke.

Anyone got a good joke? In need of something to make me laugh.

Firstly.....I would like to thank everyone for my Birthday wishes.

Sorry I didn't get to say thank you to some of you before I left, but it was a nice surprise for me when I got home to see your greetings.

The flight back was so bumpy, I was beginning to wonder if we would land in one piece.
I hate flying at the best of times.

I did have a wonderful time, but as usual, the days flew by and before I knew it, I was back at work today.

Trying to catch up with all your blogs, but you have been so busy, it might take me a day or two to read all of them.

I took a friends advice and stayed away from a computer, plus my didn't trust me around her laptop. She knows how bad I am with them, and she had so much Uni work on it, she was afraid I would somehow manage to delete it all.

My work is very up and down, but the past couple of months has been very full on.
I have just got home from working 11 days without a break.

My job is very physical and sometimes very emotionaly draining.

My mind and body are screaming for a rest, so I shall be getting up at 3.30am tomorrow (as I live a long way from the airport)and taking a short flight to visit my .

She lives in a beach area, where you can go to numerous beaches, and still be the only one there.

Will be wonderful to just sit there and listen to the waves rolling in.

Maybe find a rock pool and find hidden delights swimming in the pools of water.

Not saying there won't be some partying going on, as I will be there for my birthday.

I will be returning home next Wednesday, so will have loads of catching up.
Have to see what you've all been up to.

Wishing you all a happy and safe week.
