Back again.

I'm not usually one to do things on the spur of the moment. Being a Libran, it usually takes me a while to make up my mind about things.

Sometimes I drive myself crazy, never mind driving others crazy.

On Thursday, a friend from work mentioned that a friend of hers (who I've met once before), was heading up to where my lives, as he is from there.

He was leaving after work Friday and coming home on Monday.

Before I knew it, I had her on the phone asking if I could hitch a ride up with him.

He didn't mind at all, so I found someone to cover my shift on Saturday.

I had two wonderful full days with her.

Now I only have to wait a couple of weeks, and she will be here for Christmas.

See!!! It's time to do things without planning them. My wife has to plan EVERYTHING... I'm the opposite. Give me an idea and I run with it and just enjoy myself. It makes her nuts. I will admit that she has calmed down a lot since our kid was born. Kids seem to take a lot of structure away from things. I'm glad you had a great time. (((Hugs)))

I like to plan things, but some spur of the moment things are also good.

You're right about having kids taking away a lot of structure in our lives. They love to throw a spanner in the works, but it makes life very interesting.

Some nice things have to happen in our lives once in a while.

sometimes opportunities come along that are too good to miss and great for you that you didn't miss it....and what a lucky stroke for that fella as well cause good traveling companions make the trip seem shorter...the ones with the lovely smiles always make the miles zip by.

I am going to attempt to reply to you Again. I hit post and everything disappeared, so don't think I'm nuts if it shows up later.

I was a little concerned about a 7 hour car journey with someone I had only met once, about not having much to talk about, but we managed to find enough to chat about.

He even re attached my daughters screen door, which neither of us could do.

That's nice. Good news about the screen door too. Australian men can be useful sometimes, even if they are no good at cricket any more.

I will have you know, I’m also a Libran and I do all kinds of stuff on the spur of the moment...after they’re properly planned and mapped out, of course...

Sounds like you took advantage of a wonderful opportunity! And after all, how much planning do we Librans need to do when it comes to seeing our kids?

H.

Back in the dark ages when I used to watch cricket, I still followed the English team.

Arn't us Librans just great?

It's a shame that my daughter lives so far away. She has one more year of Uni left there, then will be moving further away for at least four years while she does her 2nd degree.
