Throw your shoes at the boss day...............................
LMAO, I am a huge CNN buff, I generally watch a lot of news programs. Bush gets not one but two shoes thrown at him at the press conference. Ohh my god, this is the most hilarious thing on tv right now. All I could think is that the secret service, was so busy laughing it took them a good 10 seconds to burst through the doors, it was already over. Have any of my fellow LesbianPersonals members wanted to do the same to their boss? If there was one shoe you could throw, whom would it target? This should be fun. Holla Back

Nope, my current boss is a real sweetheart. The one before him was, too. There have been others, though...
Bush? I'd like to throw something heavier at him and I'm a Canuck!! LOL!

OK...Ok...Remember this --> Putting your adversary "under foot" is the ultimate insult that an Iraqi can do, short of killing you, so like WW stated, it is disrespectful to the American people, not President Bush! <-- THINK ABOUT IT!
But...that shit WAS funneeeeee!

Thanks for all the responses so far, I appreciate everyone and understand those whom literally think this is disrespectful to all americans. This post was not directly about bush, if this were two persons at a wal-mart and it was caught on tape it would have prompted this post as well. One thing is for sure though, everyone thought this was hella funny! Anyone else?

No shoe-throwing for me but, I'd like to throw a few bricks at...!
However, I'm with Wildwife and CUMEETME, it is disrespectful.
Although I'm definitely NOT a President Bush fan...
that shit WAS hilarious!

Well, Let me put it this way.....I don't agree with 95% of Bush's policies, I think he set us back many years, I think his foreign policy is bullshit but..... I wouldn't throw shoes at him and don't condone it. Let me explain why;
He is the Commander and Chief so ok, he gets that respect and I WANT THE SAME RESPECT FOR OBAMA. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY WHINING FROM THE CHEAP SEATS WHEN HE GETS IN AND DON'T DISRESPECT HIM !
OH, AND FOR MOST OF THOSE HATERS, IT'S OVER, HE WON...GET OVER IT, HE HE
p.s. The Secret Service was slow as hell !

Was it disrespectful? Absolutely. What I find interesting is how it completely and totally illustrates the state of mind of the American people. We are at a complete loss when it comes to listening to Shrub. I honestly don't think that anything like this will be an issue for Obama because his demeanor demands respect. Bush spent 8 years either being self-deprecating, or acting the pompous, arrogant ass. It's all about perception, and we perceive Bush to be the worst president in history, so, therefore, he receives no respect.

Obama, might not get shoes thrown his way;but ...it was wrong, and I did not see anything funny about it. It was a insult to all of us.

Hey Curvy,
Thanks for the response, I agree with you, we fought this war to liberate them and that was freedom of speech and expression for sure. In the US as someone else has responded we use the finger very often, whats the difference. I respect everyones opinion on this post, interesting reading for sure.
Ohh and why were we there? I have forgotten also.

Hey Blk, thanks for the response. It is appreciated as all responses are. Just a few thoughts specifically I wonder about. As an educated, intelligent, responsible black man I have experienced disrespect at various levels here in the US. Is it worse to be disrespected as an american in Iraq? In younger days I have responded irrationally and irresponsibly, however as a single parent of an (interracial) teenage son I decided some time ago that I had to raise him differently. I have set a bar that is very high for myself and he has followed, the response to disrespect is to hold your head up high, very high, a fact is this, as long as I have education and capital I have options. I do not shop, visit or have anything to do with those unpleasant experiences, I take my business elsewhere, I have that option as they have the option to be disrespectful. Thats freedom of speech, and it does not always play out perfectly, but we should all have options. As I stated before this post was not to be political, if there was footage from a local drug store or department store I would have posted this as the reaction from both the president and the secret service were hilarious. Where were they? Looking for the WMD's one last time? Attempting to gain their composure before stepping out of the back room? As far as my immediate family, they would have been up on the first shoe, trust in that.
PEACE
