Well the big move is over. I hope I don't have to move again for a long time.
Still trying to find places to put things. That's the problem of moving from a big house with a garage, to a very small house with no garage.
It rained the night before, but luck was on our side for the next day, not a drop of rain in sight.
It took a week for the internet to come on here. I did pop in the other night to a huge sea of yellow. Sorry I didn't leave a comment, but was so tired, I was lucky to even be able to read.
I only took two days off work. One to clean the old place, and the other to try and sort out the new.
We are very short staffed, so tommorrow will be my 7th day in a row, but I wanted to let you all know.............I'm back.

Might be off the air tonight, a couple of days earlier than first thought.
Looks like it can take up to five days to transfer the internet to the new place.  How can it take that long? Not flying to the moon, only moving two suburbs away.
So I hope you all stay safe. Catch up with you soon.

I would have loved to have seen my sons face when he got home from a week end away.
The first thing he would have done when he got home, would have been to go straight to the food cupboard for something to eat.
This is what he would have seen.........
Yep, all the food from in there is now packed away ready for the move.

with happiness.
Just got off the phone with the Real Estate, and it's all systems GO.
We move a week tomorrow.
My and I looked at a very nice house last week, then the waiting game began.
It's the best house in the street, two up from a dead end, so no idiots can race up and down the street, and............ my pussy is welcome.
So many places now will not allow pets.
In a short time, I will call the person that owns this place and tell her My good news.
So from the 15th I will be off the air for a while.

August winds.

Although they are called the August winds, they can start anywhere from the month before and up to two months later. But this year they are spot on.
It was a bit of a scary drive home from work today. The trees were swaying and bending over.
There were branches all over the road, and reports of trees down.
There was a group of people outside my place. My neighbour had a very large branch come down taking the power lines with it. They were left dangling a few feet off the ground.
About an hour later, the electricity van arrived. There were men in uniform all over the place, so of cause I had to go out and take photos of the action. 
His power has been disconnected until another emergency team can come out and remove the large branch before power can be reconnected to his house.
We are lucky to still have power. Who knows how long he will be out for.
The winds have died down, hopefully for the rest of the evening, but have heard there are more on their way for the next couple of days.

I hide Roy away whenever tradesmen or the Real Estate guys come around. It is a small town, so I know how things get around.
The pest/building inspector was supposed to call in at 9am, but the girl in the RE office got it wrong, and told him I had said to come earlier.
I had just finished my shower, when I thought I heard someone knocking on my front door. Couldn't be, it was only 8am, when I heard it again.
I shouted through my bedroom window that I would let him in shortly.
Now what was I going to do with Roy?? Back into the garage with him, with no time to find the lampshade, I put him just inside the door.
I opened the door to let the guy in. He took one look at the termite damage and said the place was stuffed, this is even before he looked in the roof.
Anyway, he said he would do the outside inspection first, so off I went to do whatever.
With the outside finished, he got up into the roof. Well two loud cracks were heard, and I was expecting him to come through the ceilling.
He looked quite shaken when he emerged, and said indeed he also thought that he would fall through the ceilling.
After he had gone, I went into the garage to do some more packing, and to my horror, I saw that Roy had been moved.
Bet afew people will get a laugh when he tells them what he found in my garage.

It's getting a bit worrying that I haven't been able to find a place to move to.
A young couple had a look at this place on Saturday, and have arranged for a building and pest inspection tomorrow.
I'm hoping that there is too much damage due to the termite problem for them to spend the extra money needed to fix it, so it gives me a bit more time to find a place.
To add insult to injury, the person who owns this place has sent me a friends invite on the facey place.
I did not want to accept, but seeing as I'm still here, thought I had better say yes, as I might need a reference to get a new place.
I have three places (along with plenty of others) to look at over the next few days, so keep your fingers crossed that I am able to get one of them.
But on a happier note, only two more sleeps and my beautiful will be here for a week.

I have been feeling like a hoilday for quite a while now.
According to an article in a magazine that comes with the Sunday paper, 38% of Australians admit to getting more sex when on holidays.
So that's the answer. I need to go on a holiday.
Now where should I go? Any suggestions?

He thought he would be well hidden in the garage.
