why am I saying "Happy New year" at the end of January? you may ask. Today is the New Year in the Islamic Hijra calendar and a holiday all over the Middle East and every other moslem country come to that - so to all my/our Moslem friends everywhere - Happy New Year guys and gals! Well it is THAT time of the year again. Time to simply say "thank you" for your friendship, your warmth and to use an unfashionable (sadly) word, your love. Today is a GOOD day!!!!! It is raining for the first time in months! I know to our friends living in more temperate climes that my getting excited about a spot of rain must seem odd but hey I live in a desert country, rain IS exciting here! It also makes driving exciting. A few years back there were over 200 road accidents (fender benders the americans would call them) in the first half hour after it rained for the first time in ages. The surface of the road gets clogged with sand and oil from cars and trucks when it is dry and as soon as it rains that lot floats out onto the top of the tarmac, becomes a skid pan! Most cars here are death traps anyway and their brakes and tyres would never be permitted on British, European or US roads, here driving on slicks is the norm lol. None of the locals or asian expats have the first idea how to drive on slippery roads so they all drive too fast and too close to each other on tyres that are not fit so guess what happens? Not hard to visualise is it? hahahhaa Is like the dodgems at the fun fair when it rains. Think I will stay firmly indoors till things quieten down a tad! Mrs snt feeling 100% so may well forgo our usual Wednesday night out and invite friends over to the house instead. Never know where that might end up hehehehe. That is most likely wishful thinking on my part though, sigh. Still a spot of day dreaming never hurt anybody right?
When you are a married man looking to play with others is 100 times more difficult than simply being a single guy I think. I cant go out charging round bars like a single guy could. Isnt as though I live in a big city where I can blend in to the background. Here everybody knows everybody - is just a big village really. the bars etc frequented by expats are limited so we al go to the same places. Even if Mrs was happy for me to do that it would NOT be discreet. Isnt my style anyway. I have NO wish to embarass Mrs in any shape or form which my tomcatting around town would certainly do. We see enough married guys around here doing that, isnt very nice hearing the things people say abut them and their "poor wives" behind their backs. So I will limit myself to meeting friends thru the internet thru sites like this where Mrs knows whom i am talking too, she sees all the correspondence eventually, and remain being patient. I have been lucky enough to have met some wonderful people thru that medium (hmmm should that be media?) Wish some of those freidns could be a LOT closer physically than they are mind you hahaha. Is dreadfully frustrating meeting people online you like as people and (put bluntly) want sexually and have them located hundreds of miles away (in some cases thousands!). Even more frustrating when those pople feel exactly the same! grrrrh
Is just as frustrating meeting people closer to home you feel the same way about - they SAY they feel the same way but turns out they are simply playing online and not being honest. I am ALWAYS honest with people, always keep myself and them safe and treat them with respect but so often get treated badly. Why is that? Drives me nuts. have come to the conclusion that the vast majority of so called "couples" in this region are simply the guys in couples getting their jollies by pretending that they want to meet people for real. That pisses me off. If people dont want to meet others for real then say so dont play stupid games - am sure hundreds of people on here will agree with that comment! (get the feeling somebody pissed me off recently yet? lol) Ah well never mind, the good outweighs the bad over all so will keep on grinning and wont abandon this place just yet lol.

eeek has been a while since I last wrote. been really busy! Been having LOTS of fun tho which is cool. Is funny every time I discuss this subject with people they get either very defensive or aggressive. Raises sharp emotions in people. I guess after all that is EXACTLY what it is supposed to do so that is cool  Most people have experienced light forms of bdsm in some ways. be it either a blindfold, handcuffs or spanking, is all bdsm play. Makes me laugh when people have played that way then they tell me - "oh no would never get involved in bdsm!" A rose by any other name etc.
Let's get one thing straight first, I am neither a sadist nor a masochist. I am just a guy who very much enjoys bdsm games and am damned good at them. I do not live this as a lifestyle as some do. Is part of me but does not touch every aspect of my life nor is it obligatory when I meet and play with people. Why would I want to spank somebody or tie somebody up who would not enjoy that? Those who are in the so called "lifestyle" have a mantra which is always worth knowing, SAFE SANE AND CONCENSUAL. In simple words ALL parties must agree to the limits beforehand and those must be respected. No harm or damage to anybody in any way - physically, emotionally or mentally - should ever be caused, and shouldnt be over the top crazy where people can get hurt. I agree with that mantra and keep it clearly in mind. That way all involved have a wonderful time knowing they are safe at all times.

There are times during the summer months when I ask myself "why do I stay in this awful place where the temp is over 50 degrees?" then when it gets to now I realise why, is gorgeous mmmmm. Beautiful sunny days and warm calm nights, delicious! Only draw back is being the Middle East the girls are still in black bags and don’t walk about in skimpy clothes, how sad! Want her to be happy and enjoy everything I know she likes so much. Is all about time confidence and trust. No jealousy no worrying etc. Just to be clear, she is NOT open to new people right now sexually, is still just me on my own in that respect. Never want to mislead anybody.

So will continue to look for "friends with benefits" and leave the impersonal fucking around to others. May mean I get laid less often but frankly am not in the slightest bothered by that. no that doesnt mean I have been eating too many onions and beans! It means that now the summer is over the howling winds are back. Went to golf club yesterday with friends and abandoned the round as the wind was so bad - whipping up the sand and driving it into our faces yuk! hate conditions like that. Is beautiful out the back of the house mind you as the wind flies across the bay flattening the waves - dramatic sight. As we live on the edge of an island the first thing the wind hits when it comes over the bay is our house! At times feels as tho the roof is coming off. House definitely makes some odd noises - Mrs gets nervous if on her own when like that as sounds as tho somebody is trying to get in lol.
No naughtiness to report sadly - yet. Dinner with friend tonight which has potential though hehehehe.
One of the things that is perhaps most frustrating about this site is that we all meet really nice people and would simply love to get to know them better and spend time with them - issue is they are half way around the bloody world! Have several friends who are girls (as opposed to girlfriends please note lol) made thru this site but too damned far away to do anything about! grrrrh To my special friend in the States tho - you KNOW I will keep that promise and turn up there one day - better sort that guy out baby - dont want trouble! hawhawhaw.

Is it becuase people ARE so far away that that seems to work so well? Is it simply the distance is a barrier that makes people feel more comfortable and able to relax more? May be of course is after they see my network pics - they simply think EEK not touching that! hahahaha. Probably more to do with the married thing tho - as usual. Ah well c'est la vie.

wooohoo we won the golf competition I went to play in in The Emirates! With Chelsea winning 4-0 in the Champions League has been a great few days of sport for me!
Am glad to be home though. Phew! Not enough sleep and far too much drinking and late nights. Were treated like Kings by the folks in the UAE what a nice bunch of people. All in all a damned fine weekend! Few of the guys went out and picked up some local working girls for parties in the hotel but decided not to join - as have said before - not my thing. Still they had a good time and girls got well paid so best of luck to them is my view!
Stayed in the bar at the hotel and met a really sweet young arab couple. They even came down to try and see me next day which was really cool. Will keep in touch with them and hope that just maybe ..... <grin>. So as far as I am concerned - yes I did get lucky *S*
Felt like death warmed up all day yesterday - I am getting too damned old for all the partying I do. Nah bugger it - we are a long time dead - live now and to hell with the consequences! I know well that all the craziness will kill me off several years before I would otherwise peg out but at least when on my death bed I wont be lying thinking "I wish I had......." That to me would be the worst thing that could happen to me! So party on!!!!!
