I wrote this article and posted it in the magazine back in 2005. had a great response with it in there. Thought was worth re-posting in here to get others' reactions and insights.
It is intriguing to me to see how few men in couples (or indeed single men for that matter)are willing to use either the words "bi-curious" or "bisexual"

with their wife/partner using the same words. It is frequent to see a profile omitting any reference to the male's sexuality when they really want to say "yes I AM interested in exploring sex with another man". Saw a question in one of the groups earlier that made me think. Was posting a reply to somebody (single guy) earlier about finding genuine bi-couples on this site who us “single” guys can hook up with for fun and had an inspiration lol. I write economics and business papers from time to time and always try and use examples to illustrate points. Wonder if using examples from this site would liven up a lecture I was asked to do? Hahahaha Maybe best not but is an intriguing thought though isn’t it? Would ensure full attention from the audience instead of the usual half asleep bunch of assholes I normally get lol.
The simple truth in this site is that there are vastly more single guys than couples or females. So who gets to pick and choose who meets whom? Simple economic/business fact: scarce commodities means the higher the value and they can demand a higher price, conversely the greater the supply the lower the value and the greater the competition (economics 101 here lol).
On this site “single” women are the scarcest commodity and therefore can demand a great deal more of their prospective partners than guys or even couples can. They can put what the hell they like on their profiles and within days will have an inbox full of mail from hungry guys (and some couples) many of which will be of the “hey baby let’s fuck” variety and many of which will have cock pics attached.
Couples on the other hand have both other couples and single women AND single guys to choose from. They can also to a great extent pick and choose, except when it comes to single women. How many times have we all seen couples asking “where are all the single bi-females?” Point proven there. They also can almost put what they like and will receive dozens of mails from hungry guys ….see above.
Where does that leave the single guys? Basically we are a commonly found commodity and the chances of being left on the shelf until next stock take are VERY high. Let’s face it cocks are two a penny on this site! So we are a low value commodity and face huge competition, what to do? Many (if not most) sit back and winge and moan saying “I never get to met anybody through this site. There are no real people here” Others take a different approach and send pictures of their cocks out to all and sundry attached to emails saying “hey baby let’s fuck”. Then when that has no effect (surprisingly!) they sit back and moan and say “I never get to met anybody through this site. There are no real people here”. A lot of others put two lines on their profiles saying words to the effect of “I want sex. Call me now “. Maybe if they can be bothered they attach a picture of ….yep you guessed it! Then when their inbox does not get flooded by emails from females and couples they sit back and moan saying ….well you know what they say already huh?
When a commodity is in great supply through many different outlets it is the job of the salesman to make sure HIS product is the one that people choose. How do they do that?
They give full information on the product, not just sales blurb. After all people searching for this product have already made up their mind to buy it. Just a question of whom they are going to buy from. They will make their decision based on: the perceived quality of the ENTIRE product not just some moveable parts; the perceived honesty of the sales blurb, can they trust the vendor?; the after sales service ‒ some want none some want a lot, the choice is the buyers!; the perceived cost ‒ in our example cost does not equate to money but discretion, health and potential fallout (eg outraged wife finding out the old man is messing around behind her back ooops) and other factors specific to themselves but just as valid. That though is the basic list they look for. (I know the grammar is awful before anybody points it out lol).
Some buyers want to make a quick purchase then move on; others want to take their time to find out all about the product before buying and taking it in to their homes and lives. Given the competition the smart salesman gives the customer what she/they/he wants. If patience is required to make the sale then patience is what is needed. Don’t make a date for delivery then not turn up at the appointed time though ‒ nothing annoys a customer more! For sure the sale is then lost forever. A good salesman on finding out his product is not either satisfactory or just no longer required does not get annoyed and abuse the customer. He remains friends with them and simply accepts that the choice was always theirs to make.
A good salesman waits until the customer asks to see what is under the wrappings of the product before removing the coverings. When do you look at the engine of a car? Is it the first thing you see and attracts you? No, you look at the bodywork and vision yourself sitting inside the beast cruising along at 160 kph with the top down and all the babes drooling over you (ok am getting carried away here oops). Once you have fallen in love with HOW the outside of the car looks THEN you pop the hood and see what the beast really has to offer in the way of performance right? Ok some cars offer a LOT less performance than the initial looks suggest. (hey I am no 5 litre Aston Martin lol but at least I am honest about it upfront hahaha). The good salesman though unperturbed at the initial disappointment at the lack of perceived possible performance points out the other benefits of the package. Durability, reliable performance, doesn’t need to be started by hand, always gives a smooth ride, fits well in to the smaller spaces the customer may wish to fit it (getting the idea that I am practiced at these arguments yet? Lol).
On closing the sale and getting the customer to take the product home the good salesman realises his job is only half done. He now has to demonstrate that the product will perform as advertised! Don’t suddenly unveil a 1.6 litre engine when you promised the customer the full 4 litres! If sales pitch was for both male and female users don’t surprise the customer by revealing that the product only works when handled by the female. That could result in the product being severely damaged and returned to the showroom forthwith minus several vital operating parts!
Above all the salesman at all times treats the customer with respect and consideration. He maintains his sang froid in the face of rejection and adversity and at all times smiles and uses humour to both mollify and attract the customer. Would you buy anything from some sour faced old bloke who snaps and swears at you and then shows you his private parts without you asking to see them? Hmmm doubt it!
Enough! Here endeth the lecture hahaha. I had a laugh writing that, hope you had a laugh reading it.
I really am NOT as cynical as the above must make me sound but it is a good illustration though isn’t it? Wonder though how many of the “let’s fuck baby and here’s my cock” brigade will pay the slightest bit of attention or even understand what I am trying to say. Very very few I bet lmao.

Hogmany is the traditional Scots word for "New Year's Eve" nobody is quite sure where it came from but there is a good article on it on a website called "martinfrost" you can find it if you put the word hogmany into google and search. Lots about Scottish New year traditions in there.

Traditionally three things, A lump of coal - to wish that you have fire in the hearth thru the new year. A fish - to wish that you alwys have food on the table.
