Listening to My Inner Voice

Inner Voice: We all have one, but we don't necessarily listen to it. You know, that little voice that talks to you. Makes you wonder, think, imagine. A feeling you get - telling you to turn right instead of left?

This blog is where I will share my inner voice with others. Hoping that they will share their thoughts and opinions with me.

I found this poem on the Internet the other night and it "spoke" to me. Maybe it will speak to some of you as well.

Finding My Voice

I may appear to be wise
I may seem brave

Deep down:
I'm a scared little girl
For a love that I crave

I fill up my days
I project confidence

Underneath it all:
I don't want to be her
That girl who remains anonymous

I use my loud mouth
I stand up for what's right

Secretly:
I don't have my own voice
Now it's time for a re-write

Wise, I am
Brave, I'll be
Fearful little girl
I set you free

Love and confidence
I project white light
I am living with a purpose
That purpose begins tonight

If you could sit down and have dinner with anyone....famous or not, presently alive or not; politician or not.....who would it be and why?

What do you do to relax?

Hi Friends! You would think that my inner voice has been very quiet since I have not written anything here for a bit. But, that is not the case. It is so noisy it is distracting. Which leads me to this question. What do you do to relax?

I have been told by many that I need to learn to relax,, take time off, have some fun. Unfortunately, that is not something that comes easily for me so I am hoping to glean some ideas from all of you.

Thanks for your help!
Hugs,
Voice

Which of the five senses would you miss the most if you suddenly lost it -- touch, taste, eyesight, smell or hearing?

Did you know there are actually health benefits to kissing? (My guess is that you did). Not only is it fun to do, it is actually GOOD for us! How exciting is this? (giggles)

Per Silvia Mordini " there are actual Kiss Scientists who study kissing. They are called Philematologists and they have discovered a wide range of benefits of kissing such as:

Top 10 Reasons To Kiss List:

1. Lowers blood pressure
2. Decreases cortisol stress hormone
3. Increases seratonin
4. Reduces pain
5. Increases oxytocin
6. Improves immunity
7. Fights off cavities
8. Increases dopamine
9. Improves mood
10.Lowers anxiety "

Ok, so those are just some of the benefits of kissing. I am sure there are many more.

Please share with me:
* what kissing does for you
* what it means to you
* your favorite type of kiss
* how you like to be kissed
* who you like to kiss
* how many kisses does it take to make you happy
* anything else about kissing you want to share

Where is that special spot on your partner's body that, when licked, makes him or her moan ever so softly?

Where is that special spot on your own body that, when licked, makes you moan ever so softly?

It is times like this
When I am alone
In the dark of night

The pain overtakes me
Searing
Sharp
Burning
All Consuming

I try to fight it
I try everything I know
The tears fall as I silently cry
My pillow wet

It is hard to breathe
I am afraid
Anxiety hits me
Panic sets in

Just breathe, I tell myself
Breathe in relaxation
Breathe out tension
over and over......
It is my mantra

Searching for the quiet place in my head
The place I can go where I am safe
It eludes me tonight

Sleep does not come ~
The pain does not go away
The tears don't stop

Never Ignore Love

I was reading quotes on the internet and I found this quote and this small article by J. Johnson (9/13/2013). It struck a chord in my mind and in my heart. I hope it gives you something to think about as well.

When somebody is able to open up our hearts we should probably consider them as a very integral part of us, and we should definitely never take these people for granted. It is only so often that a person can just come into your life and just make you feel things in your heart that you never even knew that you had.

To get to a level that we are willing to open up to the rest of the world is a hard place to get to, but it seems when the right person is made available in life, learning about a new love is something that our hearts will yearn for. Are you ready for the roller coaster ride? Because love is a fast twirl of ups and downs, love may have you screaming for joy at one moment, while it may have you screaming in need of a bucket to puke in the next moment. Follow your own heart, and believe in the things that it is telling you, soon you will discover a side of yourself that you never knew.

Breast Cancer Awareness -- Poem

Hi everyone! In case you didn't know it, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I have several aunts who are survivors of breast cancer so this subject is dear to my heart.

I found this poem on the internet when I was reading about breast cancer today. The author is unknown but I would like to dedicate it to everyone who has been touched by this disease:

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror,
and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'

So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
'H-M-M,' she said, 'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.'

So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.
'Well,' she said, 'today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail.'

So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.
'YAY!' she exclaimed.

'I don't have to fix my hair today!'

Attitude is everything!

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain.
