I just read today that men can’t multitask. That’s why women get shit done 🤔. Might be true- of all the men I know 😂😂
LOL...there's a fine example. My exwife couldn't multitask if her life depended on it.
Me, being in corp mgmt for years, it was one of my strong points.

It's funny, I wonder how all these get started.?

i do have tendency to generalize things or people...although try not to...but on the other hand, i don't think i can fit into a mold...i am just bit different, i might say, i am weird to the point, for some, but hey...we are all unique and different...and that's the beauty of it...

You know what I find interesting...as a people, we want to categorize and label everything (and everyone) so that we can define our world. It makes sense to do that so we can figure out where we fit in. Grouping things we see or experience everyday probably started as part of our ancient ancestors daily lives to classify things in order to stay alive...you know, the stuff that would kill you, bad - stay away.

Yet, we also want to see everyone as an individual, accepting them as they are, without stereotyping because of their religion, race, gender, or other trait/characteristic.

I do find it completely ludicrous that this was an official, funded, scientific research project. Why? Couldn't they study something more relevant, something that would actually impact lives in a positive manner??!

Well I think we all can generalize from time to time. But I have tried to change my mindset over the years.

I would think you would be a unique individual. And hell, weird isn't always a bad thing at all.

Experience usually fuels my generalizations.

I think that's a brilliant statement. Maybe it's a case of Individual generalization. Is that a thing....haha.

I think your first paragraph is spot on. Most people are looking for that "fit in" category. Maybe that's what I find so it so silly to try ...I don't really want to fit into any category. I'm real happy just being me..

Very astute comment, thanks.

And yeah..like Kissen said the money could have been used for a better cause. Or as you pointed out, at least research something that's going to make a difference.

I think I'm still missing something...but yeah, I can see where you're coming from on the "fat black woman" thing.

But again, that's sort of my point. Why should you be generalized or characterized as anything? Whether its the "fat" part or the "black" part. Neither of those define you. You are unique, and very interesting. Isin't it sorta like judging someone before you get to know them?
