Time Well Spent

Time Well Spent Doing something a little different on this blog. No questions. No thoughts and wondering on life's intricacy's. Just a short description of a day well spent. I decided there was no way I was making it through the winter without another beach trip. So with the weather forecast set to be sunny and in the high 70's on the beach, we took off. If you haven't followed my blog, or somehow missed it, we went to a certain spot on the beach. Dunes looked a little overgrown, but still....  The water was gorgeous, though way too cold to go in. This is me, remember?  Nice and clear, beaches were surprisingly clean for this time of year. No seaweed, very little driftwood.  We took the puppy with us, for her first beach trip. She was hilarious. There's a leash law on the beach, which she wasn't real happy about. We did get some time, when there were few people around us though. And again, I'm not real good at always following the rules. So..... she did get her fair share of running wild in the sand. She also proved herself to be quite the attraction. She had way more ladies checking her out than I did. LOL And like the little social butterfly she is, she ate it up. Very few ladies passed by without coming over to pet and play with the puppy. I'm thinking, maybe getting a puppy wasn't such a bad idea after all.  This is why I live in South Texas. November 3, and I'm in a swimsuit, playing on the beach. Nice! It got a little cloudy and the wind picked up in the afternoon, but it was still nice. As always, it was the perfect way for me to rid myself of built up stress. For a day, there was nothing troubling or stressful in my world.  Overall, it was a great day. One of the best Saturday's I've had in while. Hope you all had a great weekend. I wanted to go swimming soooo bad. Waded in up to my knees a couple of times, but it was way too cold for me. LOL Yeah, that puppy is just cute as a button. She slept the entire 2.5 hour drive home. " I refuse to belong to any organization that would accept me as a member" Groucho Marx

i love beach...i am in flroida, but we don't have beach, so to speak...we have water way, but that's about it...no sand...grrr...i guess i got to go down to clearwater, but again, too much people...i don't like it... i like the way, the puppy smiles!!!

i love beach...i am in flroida, but we don't have beach, so to speak...we have water way, but that's about it...no sand...grrr...i guess i got to go down to clearwater, but again, too much people...i don't like it... i like the way, the puppy smiles!!! It's a long stretch of beach though, you can always drive for a bit and find secluded spots. " I refuse to belong to any organization that would accept me as a member" Groucho Marx

LOL...that could be it. She played in the water a little, but she didn't like the idea of the waves coming at her. It was a great day. Eventually, hopefully within the next two years, my youngest daughter (in the pic with Pooka), are going to move down there. She loves the beach as much as I do. Oh cute puppy. She is chick bait for sure. I so missed my hour and half drive to the beach when I lived in N.C. Now over 5 from Atlanta. Sometimes I go even in cool weather. It does relax me. I get it. And no crowds is even better.

Thanks for sharing your relaxation She did sleep the whole way back. Got home, gave her a bath , she ate. Played for a bit, then crashed early. The beach takes a lot out of you at that age. LOLI can only imagine how cold they're going to look. But as long as I'm here, looking at pictures of them, I still admire the beauty of some of the northern beaches. I'd love to see them. Looks like a fun trip! Beautiful water, fun puppy and time with your daughter, not to mention the relaxation of being by the water. Yup, it just sucks the stress right out of you... lol Pagan  Hmmmm....I know I left that wand around here somewhere!

Your pup is gorgeous. The last dog I had was a basset hound and she loved the beach....in and out of the water and rolling in the sand....we took half the beach home in the car!!!  Not beach weather here I'm afraid....not even for sitting looking at the sea.  ~~Anais Nin~~

I'm wondering how cold the water was? Too cold for you, ok but probably warm enough for us Northerners! (Just for you, I'm going to hit the beach up here during the winter and send you the pic) Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!
