 Wow, that's a heckuva a story!

How can they log into such a site and ask the question "WTF is poly?" I suspect that co-worker was just being Machiavellian with you. I'm glad you answered as you did.

Some times I wish the story were something I made. But it was only uncomfortable for the first few moments. And I felt my own confidence grow. I guess the absence of embarrassment was not something they planned on. Still though, if one of them came to me alone from the others to ask direct questions in order to learn something; I am still willing to do so. I remember all the years I struggled thru having these traits and trying to stifle them because so many people around me don't have them or don't understand them. And if I could ease someone around the many landmines of these traits, I'd feel rather well about saving him some struggle

All I could hear in the back of my mind was my lovely wife telling me to answer the questions how I see fit but that I should be nice about it...

I think I was nice as I could have been
