An Update Re: Chamberlain (or I'm Not OCD. The Army Had Me Tested)

Just an update for those of you who found a spark of interest in my in depth criticism of what passes for intellect in DC (damn... that hurt down to the bone).

I was uncertain about the time frames regarding the openings of the Nazi death camps let alone when their sole mission changed from the forced labor camp model into the genocide version.

I have since looked it up.

The following is pulled directly from The Camps: A Teacher's Guide to the Holocaust. Definitive or not, the timeline should be factual.

Six death or extermination camps were constructed in Poland. These so-called death factories were Auschwitz-Birkenau, Treblinka, Belzec , Sobibór, Lublin (also called Majdanek ), and Chelmno . The primary purpose of these camps was the methodical killing of millions of innocent people. The first, Chelmno, began operating in late 1941. The others began their operations in 1942.

The death camps began their mission of murder two years after Great Britain had entered the war against Germany. Years after the invasion of the country the Germans opened their death camps triggered British entry into the war. The US entered after the death camps had moved to their primary purpose, not Great Britain.

This doesn't change the fact that West is a moron (Allen as well as Kanye), but it does add a little perspective that my earlier (based on personal knowledge from prior research rather than recent gathering of information) blog posting relied upon in its delivery.

I was too tired when I wrote the individual to take the extra steps and went with what I knew. Sue me for not making the extra effort. It was worth it, but I didn't have the strength.

Deb, I seriously doubt anyone here even noticed.

But i applaud the effort in accuracy.
