Clint Eastwood

At 82 Clint has a right to be cranky. He has developed over the years and become a good actor and director. But he is not a political genius. Clint has now wrestled away the crown for cranky old crank from John Sunnunu...

I don't watch this stuff so I cannot recount the cringing. I just glimpsed it and that was more than enough.

Mitt has a way of stepping wrong. His European trip was full of dumb moments. His convention is overshadowed by a hurricane reminding us of Katrina, and how an effective Federal government is really important sometimes. And now Clint is the subject more than Mitt in his newly human like iteration.

I like Chris Rock's tweet that Clint reports to Prez Obama that the mission is accomplished...

At least Clint can out argue an empty chair... possibly.

We all have racist elements within us as all humans do... While Obama did many things wrong, he was thwarted by the GOP at every turn. Look at all the BS over trying to raise the tax rate on people who earn more than $250,000 a year. The raise would be less than 5%. Yet the GOP also claims to care about deficit reduction.

The fiscal cliff come Jan. 1 is a big deal and could give us another five years of recession... Congress is making a real disaster movie, starring the world economy... Romney is worse in virtually every way.

With Obama, Ben Laden is dead and GM and Chrysler are alive! Even AIG bailout is now profitable and more money to come... Government should stop financial panics from spiraling into depressions. Recall 1929 to 1939? Want to relive it? We need more stimulus, not less if you want more jobs and less welfare. We need more teachers and more funding of state and local public workers. They spend money too... The private sector has rebounded but the public state workers are declining.
