How to measure the length....

 I recently read that there was a bit of a craze suggesting the best way to measure was to stick it through a toilet roll and measure the bit sticking out and add that to the length of the roll. I gave it a try....bad mistake as I got stuck in it, and it was a deeply unpleasant feeling, trying to get it off without getting a paper cut
