What a shit of a week.

Another bad week, so was really looking forward to a night out with work friends.
It's been a long process of trying to organize a time when we are all free with no shifts clashing.

I got home from work and put my uniforms in the wash, when my washing machine decided to blow up.
There was an almighty bang, wasn't too concerned as it does tend to make strange noises, but when it didn't stop re filling, I thought I had better go have a look.

I couldn't get it to drain, and water began to leak out of the bottom.
I have been mopping up water for the past three hours, and it keeps coming, so there went my night out.

Have any of you looked forward to a night out, and something has put a stop to it?

I would have flee'd the building as soon as the washing machine gave in! That way you would have had a good night out & caught up with friends!

I've never had a night out spoiled by a disaster like that....now and then being ill might put a stop to a night out but that's it.

I hope you have now finished mopping up and that you have rescued your uniforms.....going to work naked next week might not be a great idea!!!

Wish I could have, but I rent a granny flat and couldn't risk damage being done as I love living here.

Thank you for popping into my blog.

Now where is Superman when I need him? You could have saved the day/night, and I could have gone out and painted the town red.

Still mopping up four hours later.

Some of the residents at the Nursing Home have a weak heart. If I were to turn up naked, it might just be enough to give them a heart attack.

I hope Roy was not floating around.

This summer I stayed a extra week at the lake waiting for Rv antifreeze so I could winterize. They had to order it in. I could have drove a hour and half to another town to pick it up but I did not. That turned out all right.

I had my washer and dryer replaced last year. Has no disaster tho just the heat element had went in the dryer and it took forever to dry clothes. My girls were not too happy. It was time tho. They were 19 years old.

This is not meant to offend any one in any way.

19 years before having to replace your washer and dryer is pretty good. They used to make things that lasted a long time. Now I find as soon as the warranty runs out, something goes wrong.

Next thing on my list is to have my car serviced, or that will be the next thing to go. Just have to wait another couple of weeks now.

well that sucks..a bad week and then you have to babysit a leaky washer....do they make adult diapers large enought to fit a washing machine?

And you never thought to take a bottle of wine and a bag of chips down to the local laundrette?

I believe the tumble dryer section is a much better dating site than this one.

No need to worry about diapers now. For it's punishment, it's gone off to be sold as scrap.

Forget the chips, but there was plenty of wine drunk during the 5 hours it took me until the machine had emptied it's self all over the floor.

Oh yes I've had days like that. Too many to count! Sorry about the water leaking.... Should have turned off the shut off valve. Of course codes may not be the say for you. Ours has a water shut off valve for both hot and cold right next to the washer.

The taps to the washer wasn't the problem, turned them off, it was the water in the machine it's self that was leaking out. Had to wait till the machine emptied.... all over the floor.
Couldn't scoop it all out, so just had to wait and mop.
