Not the colour on the box.



Thought I'd try a new colour in my hair. Found one that was a darkish brown with a hint of red.

My friend who has been dying my hair for quite a few years called round last Sunday, so out came the bowl and brush and she mixed the two concoctions together and on it went.

Beautiful day so we go outside with a nice coffee to pass the time.

Then came the time to wash it out.............OMG I was a red beacon, nothing like the colour on the box at all.

As if that wasn't bad enough.... a few days later I went and had a hair cut when the hairdresser said.............oh no. Somehow my friend hadn't put enough dye on the back and once my hair had been cut, my natural brown was the only colour showing.

Off to the chemist today to buy the usual dye I use, and she's coming round tomorrow to put it in.

There will be No chatting while it goes on so she concentrates and gives me a full coverage.

 There are times that I'm grateful for my hairdresser daughters. I would not like to be that red at all. Were you have a few glasses of wine while she did that?

The only thing drunk was coffee. Maybe something a little stronger once I'd looked in the mirror.

 Hair coloring can be fun. I know a woman who colors her hair every couple month. Some of the colors are interesting.

Although it's not so bright now, when asked why I don't just dye it brown, I say that would be too boring.
