Homeless.

Homeless. I saw in one of our local papers, that a charity was asking for beanies to give to the homeless. I'm not the best knitter, but I can knit beanies. Here is a photo of four that I've made so far.  While knitting these I read something on the facey page that I thought was very nice. Someone in Ottawa had made scarves and left them all over the place with a note attached...I am not lost. If you're stuck out in the cold, take this scarf to keep you warm. How nice. While still in Canada with nothing to do with the cold, also saw this.... The post code for Delta is..... V4G1N4  Glad I don't live there. I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face when I gave my post code out. |

I use a mitten in the winter to keep my golden jules warm...Great idea!  Can you send me the pattern please? Love it.

As soon as I get a pattern, I'll knit you one. Our post codes are four numbers, and depending on the first number it tells you which State or Territory you live in, except Canberra, theirs starts with 2 same as ours NSW.

What a lovely thought....here we are asked for old blankets for the homeless....and we seem to have more homeless every year. We haven't adopted proper postcodes yet in Ireland. Just in the main cities like Dublin where we have numbers from 1 to 24 after Dublin in our address. Yea the Irish are always years behind everywhere else.  ~~Anais Nin~~

They were inundated with blankets, and had to say enough. I can't knit socks, so bought 6 pairs of work style socks. Four beanies down, with more to come.

I've read about buying a coffee for the homeless, but it hasn't happened around here. It's a great idea.

LOL I never would have thought about it I had not seen it on this site. Yesterday they did a pick up of coats for the homeless here. This is not meant to offend any one in any way.
