Something furry for you.

This is a baby possum who should have been tucked up in a tree fast asleep until it got dark.

Instead, it was walking along my back fence. I held up a flower petal which it took and ate.

They are very cute, but the adults have a horrible growl while chatting, and an even worse one when fighting.

They make a terrible racket every night in my garden.

I had a vole problem here.

This is not meant to offend any one in any way.

The poor little eyes were almost asleep, till the flash went off.

Have had rats in the roof, the possums just like to run over the tin roof.

It was quite small, just up close and used the zoom.

Not sure what type it is, had quite a long bit of white at the end of it's tail.

I have a tin roof, so yes they can sound like a herd of elephants.

That's really cute....do they make a mess of the garden?

This one was only a little bigger than my hand, just looks big the way I took the photo. Don't think I've seen yours.

The only visitors I get in my garden are snakes and lizards.

The last place I lived I got two black snakes, the baby one was brought into the house by my cat.

no such creature
lives round here
perhaps it's snow
that they fear

frost would nip
at their toes
so your fence
where they go

yes i know i'm a bit tardy in writing back but will get to it soon....have not forgotten, just lazy.

They must be doing both while wearing boots.

That is a hell of a lot cuter than the possums we have. Ours look like giant, toothy, rats.

A friend sent me a photo of your possums. It wasn't very cute at all, and I wouldn't go anywhere near one.
Quite often you can hand feed ours. I gave the petal to the one in my photo.
