It's time.

It's time. While changing the bed today, I decided it was time to bring out my fluffy doona, as the nights were getting cooler. It was always my sons job to put the doonas into covers. Him being nearly 6ft, a couple of shakes and they were in. Not so easy when you're only 5ft 2in. So there I was, cover inside out, hands in opposite corners, now grab a corner of the doona, and flip and shake.....yeah right. Climb up on the bed, shake like no tomorrow, and............ it wasn't happening. Cat comes into the bedroom to see what all the swearing and commotion was about, just as I was giving it one almighty shake, got the fright of her life, went skidding across the tiles and into the safe haven of her cat box. Building up a sweat at this stage, not got much puff at the moment. One more shake and it's almost inside. Lay it on the bed, shove the last bit inside and do the poppers up. You'll have to excuse me for a while, need a lay down.  |

They do say that good things come in small packages.  Might have to exchange Roy for a new model. He just lays in the draw and does nothing.

I know exactly how you feel because I'm only 5' 2" as well. I have the cover the right way out....put one corner in and secure it with a clothes peg then do the same with the other corner. Then I do much that same as Mystelle...shake it as if I were spreading it out....it works. ~~Anais Nin~~

Saw a great video on how to do it, but still did it my way when I got it off the line today.

Well I pity you down there. I was freezing even up here last night. I didn't measure how cold it was but for sure less than 2 inches. But its been a funny up and down summer this year. I have hardly had my doona off. And when it was off almost every second night I had to go get it out and throw it over the bed in the middle of the night. Possibly because it has been a dry summer. The days have been wonderful. Sir Teezalot WAR IS ABSURD

Funny all the names we have for the same thing......doona, quilt, duvet etc. I used to call it by the Polish name, but no one knew what I was talking about.  Some small packages are good.
