Do you..........

collect anything?

I love hedgehogs, but we don't have them here in Oz.

I started collecting them years ago. Friends used to buy them for me for my Birthday and Christmas.

My brother even sent me a few. But the person that went on a rampage of buying every hedgehog on that e bay place, is my Sister. She just can't help herself.

While I was packing up to move, I counted around 160 of them, but I kept finding more. I lost count when I got to 168. They were very sneaky hiding in places I hadn't looked in years.

I have been begging her for a long time.....please no more, but it was a waste of time. There are still 20 that will be on their way to Australia when I least expect it.

So I want you all to band together with me and say.....NO MORE.

They are now appearing everyday on that facey place, but I don't mind them, as they don't take up space and collect dust.

Spiny little things McMary, don't let them anywhere near Roy!

We've had to cull them on one of our islands off the west coast where they were introduced by accident many years ago, they were really damaging the local ecology.

I have been working on not collecting. There is too much stuff if I have to move.
You should picture each one on each posting that you write. Then, they will be there forever.

Cum to my blog and respond. Have a great kissing fun time.

I stopped collecting things when I sold the house and moved to a much smaller place.

Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to stop collecting grandkids!!!

Poor Roy. He is still packed away, still too many boxes that need a home first.

I've heard they are in New Zealand, which isn't that far away, but were never introduced here.

Our Kangaroo's need culling sometimes as they can do a lot of damage.

My Sister looked into sending me one of those small hedgehogs that have become pets in England, but they are not allowed here.

I had no intension of having so many, it's my Sisters fault.

They are still packed away in two boxes until I can buy something to put them in that will fit into my new (small) place.

I hate the Summer. Gets far too hot here, but I'm hoping now I have moved a bit further up the mountain, it will be a bit cooler, but will need good heating in the Winter.

The old place had natural gas, but this place I will have to buy bottled gas.

Would love a photo if they haven't gone to sleep yet.

I've not seen one in the wild, only in the Zoos. They are a lot bigger than Hedgehogs, and their spines are much longer.

I managed to fit them all into two large boxes.

I also have a few Toby jugs, but no where near as many as the Hedgehogs, but don't tell my Sister that.

Good luch with not collecting any more Grandkids, otherwise you will never get any time for yourself.

I still have a stamp collection that I started when I was about 6 years old. But I can't say it's much of a hobby anymore. I have been buying the Australia Post yearbook every year since the bicentenial but most have never been openned.

I think they must have modelled the Wombles on Hedgehogs.

I hadn't planed on collecting so many. Had managed to get friends to stop buying them for me, but not Sis.

Something that starts as just one or two of something can often take on a life of their own. Luckily I have managed to avoid such things. Many hours of extra dusting is the reward.

They have to stay in their boxes until I can find a glass cabinet that will fit into this place. Don't have the space here to have them all over the place, so won't have all that extra dusting to do.

You know you love them!
You still have a long way, to catch up with my dragon collection.
I had a look the other day.
They're might be a couple more than 20, still to send you.
I will be glad to get them out of my bedroom, where they seem to have taken up hibernating!

I do, but you can have too much of a good thing.
I hope they are all tiny, as I don't know where to put them.
