A tragic end to a life.

On Wednesday my recieved a phone call telling him that a friend lost her life in a horrific accident.

Here was a beautiful young girl on her way back to Uni. Her car broke down, so she called for a tow truck.

He arrived and a truck ran into them killing both Sarah and the tow truck driver.

RIP

Sarah

I am so sad for my son and his friends, but being a parent, I can't stop thinking about her parents. How the Hell do you get over something like that?

Thank you.

He and his friends have been spending time together to share the mourning process.

The funeral will be heart breaking.

It always seems worse when it is a young person.

I saw a car wrapped around a tree this morning, obviously another fatality. What a senseless waste.

I hate seeing accidents, they make me feel quite ill.

I have been in one accident, and don't want to be in another.

It does happen far too often.

I'm glad the guy you knew was able to get better and not to have lost his legs.

Sadly it is something that happens here in the States often. At least here in the Houston, TX area. Sorry for your loss.

I too would never wish that upon my worst enemy.

Thank you.

I'm sure it happens everywhere.

Great new photo. Is it not illigal to ride a bike there without wearing a helmit?

Glad you like the photo. I'm not real sure what to do to make it bigger as the photo I uploaded was much larger than the site allowed.

In some states, it is mandatory to ride with a helmet. Here in Texas, it isn't mandatory. they are trying to pass legislation to make it required but if I can vote against it, I would. I like having the choice to wear or not to wear a helmet. I'd say at least 80% or more of the time I wear one. Today I have two. At the time of the photo, I only had one. A full face helmet which was far to hot to be worn that day. And a half helmet I wear when weather is nicer or warmer. I wear the full face when it's cold or raining.

It has been law here for many years, even riding a push bike. I think you can get an exemption if you have a medical condition.

I think it looks sexy a guy riding a bike without wearing a helmet, but for safty reasons, it's best to wear one.

Can't help you with enlarging the photo, I have to call for help whenever I have to do something new on the site.

Safe riding.
