Pros and Cons of Winter

PROS.

1. Not sweating your tits/bollocks off.

2. Enjoying a cuddle, and not slipping off one another due to the
above mentioned sweat.

3. Throwing on your daggy warm clothes, and slipping your feet
into your ugg slippers.

4. Not getting sun burnt.

5. The beautiful colour of leaves.

6. Don't have to mow the lawn as often.

7. Enjoying every sip of Scotch, as it warms the cockels of your
heart.

CONS.

1. Sitting on a freezing cold toilet seat. Ok for you guys, you
only have to do it once a day.

2. Not having anyone to keep me warm in bed. My cat does not
count.

3. Washing taking all day to dry, but at least it doesn't come
off the line frozen, like some places.

4. Getting up for work in the dark. Should be allowed to roll over
and go back to sleep till it gets light.

5. Sweeping up all the fallen leaves. Who cares what bloody colour
they are now?

6. Wanting a night out, but is so cold, and the fire is tempting
you to stay home.

7. Needing to drink more coffee to warm up, then having to sit
on the freezing toilet seat.

Please feel free to add your own Pros and Cons.

For me winter is just one big bloody con.

Even decided to escape the almost non existant Qld winter for a couple of months to keep warm.

The only thing I remember about Melbourne winters is when I get up in the middle of the night for a pee, I cant find anything to bloody pee with....shrinks to nothing and makes me wonder.....are more babies really conceived in winter.....and if so how?

Stop moaning about your mild winters.
Remember how cold it was when you were over here & your son wanted to go to Stone Henge?
That wonderful brisk wind that was howling around you that day & temps of minus 10!
Your kids & you all thought it was a good idea to go, at the time.
Until you had to get out of the car.
Your winter, is like our summer time.

Life isn't about how many breaths you take, but about the moments that take your breath away!

My pros and cons of winter:

Crisp frosty mornings, Christmas, (I know, I know you have it in summer down there, but how can that be Christmas!? ) The joy of wearing big woolly jumpers.

Too cold in bed to lay hands on each other or even on yourself,
Drinking water too cold from the tap.
Reading blogs by you lot down there moaning "it's so HOT."

Did you get some funny looks from the people in the cafe, when you started to shake and a thing fell out of your trousers?

Never move to Tasmania then. Have a friend from there, and she told me that she has had a fire going on Christmas Day.

My cat claims the heater and moans if you stand in front of it.

Much prefer to get into a cold bed, snuggle into the Doona and get warm, than lay on the bed with a fan on, and not be able to sleep, cos it's too hot.

Thought you must have gone away, as you have not been around.
Do they have a Winter in Qld?
More babies being conceived in Winter, must have something to do with all that extra rubbing to keep warm.

Well we did come over for Christmas.

Think the trip to Stonehenge was the coldest day I have ever known.

Do miss a real Christmas. Really hard trying to keep up the tradition of a roast dinner with all the trimmings, but I manage.
Tried a seafood dinner once, but just wasn't the same.

I went to Stonehenge many years ago, before it was roped off.
My kids did enjoy it, even tho it was freezing. Think my son took photos from every angle.
The job I have is 10mins. if that from home. When I start at either 6am or 6.30am, I am lucky to be home long before dark, so only have to leave in the dark.
