I agree with portions of what you say, but you give your own arguement a weak base by lumping ALL people of a certain socio-economic strata together. To whit: The poor don’t get poorer, they stay poor. They’re poor because they are unmotivated and will not put in the effort needed to climb from their own personally dug cater. The holes they are stuck in are not caused from inequity, but from the weight of their own immobile bodies. It is easier to sit down and complain than to stand up and make way. The economic gap only looks like a conspiracy because all of the lazy and complacent indigents are all standing on the same side. This portion is true for SOME and for some it is bullshit. I am poor. I am skilled. I am OVERQUALIFIED. So factor that in the next time you go ranting about the welfare system and poor. Some poor are there because there are also rich and wealthy IDIOTS in seats of power. I am not offering a single excuse for my economic status and ironically enough, I make too much to qualify for even one welfar program, while women with five kids who drive Lexus' and Merecedes Benz's are handed more money with each kid they produce. Paint THOSE miscreants with your tar and feathers buddy. They are the truly guilty in the downfall of our once great nation. Those sorts AND the pinheads that are supposed to lead us and just hand us rhetoric and bullshit EXCUSES. How about that?

So many things you say are too true.. and yet... Please do NOT forget those who by circumstance and trying simply to put food in their child's bellies and a roof over their head have not extra hours.. forget a single hour ... to expend on improving a situation. Sometimes.. all you have of the moment is another moment to try to hold steady ... sometimes it is a minimal chance to get ahead.. I am not, by any means saying that those who choose to fuk about and scam rather than work and put forth effort deserve anymore than endless hours on which to spout their rant. But...there is something to be said for opening an opportunity for those who may not be able - despite hard work and desire - to find that door. No matter how you look at it - the present situation is beyond untenable.. and like an alcoholic before drying out -- we just may have to hit bottom before we are able to move forward. xxox ~ [blog kelidgh]~ I am, indeed

a man not afraid to speak his mind i like that...i feel everyones entitled to a roof over their head, a meal in their belly and basic healthcare any more than that go work for it...i do    je ne regrette rien
