Thoughts on Costa Rica In 14 days, I leave for a brief vacation in Costa Rica, a country which at this point, I know well on account of my previous 10 visits over the last three years. Prior to the credit contraction and the banks causing the economy to go into the toilet, I had thought about retiring in Costa Rica. Now, I know that I am going to be working for the next 21 years. This is not to say that I don't enjoy my job, because I do, and I am extremely grateful to be employed. Rather than struggling like a lot of other folks these days, I have a salary coming in so I can pay my bills with a bit left over. Now, I have been on this site for about four years, and I have to admit that the odds are very much against males. Just look at the numbers of females looking for males and the number of males looking for females in the browse-search portion of LesbianPersonals, the odds are not encouraging if you are a male. Not that this is LesbianPersonals's fault. I am sure that LesbianPersonals would love to have a couple of more thousand women looking for men on the site, but these are the facts as they are. In Costa Rica, I have hooked up with a 30 year old woman,even as 20 year old woman,who is pleased to be with me and, frankly, is very appreciative of the time that we spend together just having fun. While my ability to speak Spanish is limited, we seem to be able to communicate with each other even though I would not characterize our conversations as intellectual. In fact, I have walked into one bar that I know in which there were about 200 women looking to meet men, and when a lot of heads turned to look at me, I recalled the complaints that some female friends had expressed in similar circumstance in the US when they walked into bars and felt like a piece of meat when all of the men turned their heads to look at my friends. So, when I walked into this bar and all of these mostly hot women checked me out, I said, "Wow, so this is what it is like to feel like you are a piece of meet." Over the last six months or so, I have sent out 150 emails to many different women who never reply. Obviously, I am not the type of guy who LesbianPersonals women are seeking or else I would have had much greater success over the last six months or so. Although I have been successful in hooking up with three different women on LesbianPersonals over the years, I have to wonder if the time that I have spend sending emails to "four and five star" women is a reasonable use of my time given my options in Costa Rica (to which I can fly in approximatley 3 hours). So, I am going to put my best effort to find a LesbianPersonals woman who is kinky and is willing to explore having relationship with me (after we meet in real life). But if this doesn't happen by 3-31-2009, I am probably gone from LesbianPersonals just because given my options sending out emails to woman who claim that they want to meet men, but never reply even if just to say, "no thank you" is just not an effective use of my time. I rather jump on a plane to Costa Rica and work on improving my Spanish. Hope springs eternal, and I continue to hope to find a match on LesbianPersonals with whom I can develop a relationship over time. Please understand, my emails are specific to each woman, and I do not use a form for all of these emails. I try to relate the information I provide in the emails to the information that the woman provides in her LesbianPersonals profile. Please also understand, I want to get to know these women before we jump into bed together. Knowing the person that you are fucking adds a lot to the experience. |
