Are You a Passive Blogger?
Are You a Passive Blogger? I have many lurkers who view my blog but never comment. Even though I keep my watched blog list to a minimum, I am nosy so I will often surf around and check out my blog viewers profiles and their blogs to get a feel for who might be on the other end reading. Being nosy has cemented some amazing friendships. On the other hand it has brought to light that there are quite a few 'passive' bloggers. By passive, I'm referring to lurkers who watch or view blogs but seldom initiate a blog post or comment. But they can be counted on to perv a new blog post. Obviously if you are viewing my blog, it isn't because I post a lot of sexy pictures. So, I'm directing this question to all the PASSIVE bloggers- Curious minds want to know: What keeps you returning to the blogs that you view? |

I wouldn't consider myself a passive blogger, possibly not an active one, but I only comment when I think I actually have something to say. I tend to think that not only are a lot of LesbianPersonals users passive bloggers, but actually passive users. I see a lot of the same people logged in according to my home page but very few ever respond to any sort of interaction. those that do either turn into a decent conversation or come across as simply wanting to flirt a bit and pretend that they are being naughty

I am HURT!!!!!! You left out likely the largest group of us!!! The SEMI-passive bloggers!!! Lmfao!!! Those of us who lurk at times, comment/post occasionally to often but never create our own blogs!!! I have found over the almost 12 years I have been on this site that there are so many fake/bad profiles and very little of what I am truly looking for. The blogs I do watch make me laugh, sometimes think and allow met flirt often!!! Those I follow tend to become good friends whether we have ever met or not. Unfortunately for myself, none of them have I ever had the GREAT pleasure of being intimate with!!! LOL!!! hehehehe hugs sexy

I don't respond to every blog I read, If it is a subject I agree or disagree I will comment. I love reading blogs on here,

Possibly because there are people out there who blog and get quite pissy about anyone having the temerity to disagree with them and actively discouraging them from posting comments? Clearly this depends on the blogger, but it is common on this site, and some (non-trolls) may read blogs and bloggers they know they don't always agree with. They just decide not to comment to avoid the hysteria about 'respect' and 'safe space' that ensues That's part of it. The other part is the perving part you already mentioned. And nothing wrong with a good perv from time to time!

Your's is extraordinarily well written and presented... Love reading your adventures, thoughts and what's going on and how you relate your thoughts... Thanks and appreciate all you share!

Many of the blogs I view are interesting. Some have nice pictures. : )

I do the same as Chargirl...the title usually reels me in and I will respond with an opinion or a nice polite comment. The blogs I write are always about real situations that happen to me and I am generally asking for input or opinions.. {=} {=} KCClaire0923

I try to be an active reader, chiming in where appropriate, and refraining, where my input seems out of line for what the blogger wants. I follow bloggers whom I find attractive, both inside and out. I read their blog to get turned on by them and learn from them, but which one is dealer's choice. Sometimes, what they have to talk about is something I don't have anything good to add to, or I might be busy and not get back to the blog for days. Blogging is a passive and active action. You actively share your ideas, and passively see how they're received. When you feel like your ideas aren't received well, it will prevent you from sharing them as much. Your blog is always interesting, whether I'm commenting or not . This being a sex site, bloggers that keep their blog sexual will get more responses - doesn't mean it's a better or worse blog, but that is what LesbianPersonals is mostly about.

I prefer being called passive to a lurker. Lurker just has a negative connotation to me. I read lots of blogs on here, but only respond to a few when I think I have something to add to the conversation or if I already have a rapport with the blogger, or in this case, to defend being passive. Hi Myelin36 , I suppose "Passive Blogger" would be a fair enough , however in my opinion , not specific about the intent of the , shall we call ourselves "pervs" that ruffle the feathers of other like minded bloggers such as yourself . Personally , reading the blogs on LesbianPersonals is a distraction from all the political bullshit , the unrealistic , self consuming shenanigans of celebrities , an outlet that allows me to identify with people who are just being themselves : Primal instincts et al . My apologies if my regular visits to yours , and many other blogs has caused you such consternation . I'm a regular guy with a "normal" life , in , shall we say an "abnormal" society .

No I am a heavy blogger. Stop by mine a comment some time!!

yes...it seems over the last year, I have noticed more and more people viewing but not commenting....very passive. I have noticed some that keep visiting, like you noticed, but they have never commented. Maybe one day they will chose to move from passive observers to assertive communicators! “Life is available only in the present moment.” Thich Nhat Hanh Come and read my blog! Dammit....you weren't supposed to notice me lurking over here. I need to work on that. (note to self: work on stealth mode) I've been busy with my blog. I'm currently engaged in a dust collecting experiment. I'm please to say it's going quite well!

Being local to my area pulled me in, your writing intrigues me and often makes me think and the occasional pic works too. My blog is small, I could write more, but when there's little to talk about there's no need to write, so I spend more time reading.

I was amused with your post......most the comments aren't from the passive....it's from those post comments frequently..... That's the nature of the passive and the active.... Click Here To Read A Hot Erotic Story: When A Woman Meets A Stranger Part 1 of 4

Yep, that's me. I don't comment on every blog I read. I read a lot of blogs and it's nice to get other perspectives on life and love.

You are my friend and I enjoy hearing what you have to say.

I may be a passive blogger but I'm not a passive commentor

I read the blogs I do because I like what is said in them. Some make me think (yours), some make me laugh, and some I just enjoy reading. I've thought about posting my own blog but I'm just not there yet, lol. I have very eclectic tastes and my followed blogs reflect that. Keep up the good work!

I like to read the blogs for the different perspectives on issues and interests. I do not always comment on the posts I read for a couple of reasons: maybe someone has already responded as I would have and have said pretty much the same as I would have, or maybe I do not feel my comments is worthy of noting. I have at times taken part of a passage from a post and will written my one thought on it in my journal. I am an active journalist, almost daily, on issues and thoughts which I tend to keep to myself because I am not ready to share them with the world. Maybe one day I will start my own blog, then again, maybe I will just continue to read the ones I find interesting and journal for myself. One never knows where life will lead us.

I only comment on blogs where I know I'm going to get a reply back. I've commented on your blog before and you've replied back, which is nice. I enjoy your blog! I hate the word lurker, because it makes us all sound creepy. I'm sure there are creepy lurkers but I'm not one them, lol! Funny women are incredibly sexy!

Passive Blogger - probably, but lurker is creepy-LOL. I was back in KS when I saw your profile and joined your blog. I enjoy being of LesbianPersonals but always busy it seems. You are a professional person and I enjoy your different takes on subjects and the information you provide is insightful and useful. For me LesbianPersonals is much more than a sex site, there are good people on here that you get to know and kind of an adult facebook. You touch on a lot of different subjects. It seems you are a wonderful person and very sensual woman also. So it is a really a Win-win. I respond to some things and wanted to respond to more of your more erotic ones lately. It great seeing all sides. But many times when I write something it takes some thought as I like to write quality dialogue also. So that is my passive blog update for now. I hope to get to some of your other ones still. Best Regards JOHN
